These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JobJet, an AI-powered job application assistant operated by JobJet ("we", "us", "our"), located in the United States.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use JobJet.

1. Description of Service

JobJet is an AI-powered tool that helps you prepare job application materials. It:

• Stores your professional profile (resume, work history, skills).
• Tailors your resume for specific job descriptions using Google's Gemini AI.
• Generates cover letters and screening question answers.
• Provides a Chrome browser extension that autofills application forms on supported job platforms (Lever, Workday, iCIMS, LinkedIn, Indeed).
• Searches public job listing APIs (Arbeitnow, Adzuna) on your behalf.

2. No Employment Guarantee

JobJet does not guarantee any employment outcome. We do not guarantee that using JobJet will result in interviews, job offers, or employment. The Service is a productivity tool that assists with document preparation — hiring decisions are made entirely by employers.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One person per account. Do not share your login.

4. Plans & Billing

Managed Plan

We provide AI generation capacity using our Gemini API key. You receive a monthly generation allowance. When you reach the limit, further AI features require upgrading or waiting for the next billing cycle.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) Plan

You supply your own Google Gemini API key. Your key is encrypted at rest (Fernet) and used exclusively for your requests. You pay Google directly for API usage. JobJet does not meter BYOK users.

Payment

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Access remains until the end of the paid period.

Refunds

We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you experience technical issues or are unsatisfied. Contact getjobjet@gmail.com for refund requests. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the customer portal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use JobJet for any unlawful purpose or to submit fraudulent applications.
• Misrepresent your qualifications using AI-generated content.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or billing controls.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service (beyond the provided extension).
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure.
• Share your account or provide access to others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. AI-Generated Content

• Content generated by JobJet (tailored resumes, cover letters, answers) is produced by Google's Gemini AI based on your inputs.
• You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before submitting it to an employer. The Chrome extension autofills forms but never submits them — you always make the final decision.
• AI output may contain errors, hallucinations, or unsuitable suggestions. Always verify accuracy.
• We do not claim ownership of your input data or AI-generated output.

7. Intellectual Property

• Your content: You retain all rights to your resume, profile data, and the documents generated from them.
• Our service: The JobJet application, branding, code, and design are owned by JobJet and may not be copied or redistributed.

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of JobJet is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how it is processed (including via Google Gemini), and your rights regarding that data.

9. Account Deletion

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Your Data.
• Deletion requires password confirmation and cancels any active Stripe subscription.
• Deleted accounts enter a 30-day recoverable soft-delete period. After 30 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly purged.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Our total liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JobJet from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, including any content you submit to employers using JobJet-generated materials.

12. Service Availability & Changes

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.
• We will attempt to provide reasonable notice of material changes.
• We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in applicable courts within the United States.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification.
